Officers from The Brunel Major Crime Investigation team continue to investigate the murder of a man at an address in George Street, Bridgwater.

The police have said,

“The man was discovered with serious injuries at about 12.30pm Saturday 20th October and was treated by paramedics, including air ambulance, but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder; we have been granted additional time to question him.  A second man, 46, has also been arrested in connection with the incident and also remains in police custody.

“We continue to carry out house to house enquiries and extensive forensic work so the cordon still remains in place near to Dampiet House and some of the adjoining car park for the time being.

“We would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at about lunchtime in the area on Saturday 20 October.”
