Members of Staff and Councillors at Sedgemoor District Council raised over £370 on Friday 12th October in Support of Breast Cancer Care. Breast Cancer Care is a UK charity providing support for people living with and beyond breast cancer and is the only specialist UK-wide charity in the UK providing care, support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer.

Members of staff dressed down ‘in pink’ and held a ‘Guess the name of the Pink Pug’ competition – all to raise vital funds for the charity. An extremely popular cake sale was also held with several members of staff having baked and donated a variety of home-made cakes for the sale. The highlight of the day came with an afternoon visit from the Leader of Council, Councillor Duncan McGinty, who was sponsored to dye his hair pink in support of this good cause.
